A Disclaimer or Two

You probably won't be reading this unless you 1) clicked the wrong link, 2) are incredibly bored, or 3) are insatiably curious, but nevertheless, here it is.

I am producing this website for the purpose of edification. I am not trying to sell anything, and no automaker is paying me to say nice things about them. I include information about a car's reliability if I have sufficient evidence to support, i.e. a statement by ConsumerGuide or Consumer Reports. Since I am just passing information and opinions along, I'm not responsible for the actions or errors of the people who right them. If my information is wrong, let me know. If I decide to include my own opinions, I will couch them as such.

Most of the images included on this website are from the PR arms of various manufacturers. I include them for the sake of completeness. They are considered to be in the public domain. As such, they can be used for intellectual purposes if no claim is made as to their originality, and if they are only used in a non-profit fashion. I do not advertise on this site, nobody pays me for the site, and the server space is donated by a friend. If you are the owner of an image and wish to see it removed from this website, please inform me.

In the course of discussion the various technologies and equipment used in cars, I sometimes refer to the specific technology of a company. For instance, BMW refers to its manumatic transmission as "Steptronic". The use of these terms, or any term, image, or title copywritten by a manufacturer or other company, is solely for the purpose of informing. No trademark or copyright infringement is intended, implied, or condoned.

I am NOT responsible for how you, the end viewer, use the information garnered from this website. DO NOT assume that my numbers for towing capability, gross vehicle weight rating, or gross combined weight rating are correct without first consulting with your owner's manual or manufacturer directly. Mistakes happen. Needless to say, I am not responsible if research done on this website leads you to buy a car, and then you discover that you do not like it. Always obey traffic laws, and always wear seatbelts. Let's keep it safe out there.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Thank you.
