Notes: Heading toward a 2000MY redesign, the Avalon received only a
few small changes for '99. Daytime running lamps were added as standard,
with an auto-off control, and heated mirrors were standardized as well.
Having been reasonably successful for Toyota, a second-generation Avalon
was introduced within months, built on the new-for-1997 Camry platform.
