2002 Toyota Avalon
Body style(s):
4-door sedan

Trim Levels: XL, XLS
MSRP range: $25,845-$30,405

Notes: In its third year, no notable changes were made to the Avalon; prices remained constant. Of more significance was the redesigned Camry, which pushed itself almost directly into the Avalon's niche. Now sharing an identical wheelbase to the Avalon, the Camry was almost as large in its interior, with a bigger trunk, and a lower price, while sharing almost all of the Avalon's features. Thus began an identity crisis for the Toyota-brand flagship. Avalon still shared its platform with several Camry relatives (notably the Solara coupe).
