2003 Maserati 4200GT Coupe and Spyder
Body style(s): 2-door coupe, 2-door roadster
Trim Levels: base, Cambiocorsa (Coupe); base, Cambiocorsa (Spyder)
MSRP range: $89,500-$93,000
Notes: The "bargain" Italian exotic returned for a second year in the US market, with its Italdesign body still catching the eye of journalists and fans alike. No changes were made to the car for 2003 (its 2002 season was rather brief in any case). A true luxury coupe, the Maserati still retained enough power and tension in its suspension to provide a meaningful alternative to the Porsche 911 and Jaguar XKR. Note that the Spyder featured a slightly shorter wheelbase, dispensing with the rear seat in order to unobtrusively store the convertible top; thus, no loss of luggage space was incurred.
