1992 Lotus Elan
Body style(s):
2-door roadster

Trim Levels: SE
MSRP range: $39,040

Notes: Lotus's tragic failure was discontinued after only two seasons on American shores. Sales that were far too low despite incentives were reponsible. The car was always rare in America, so good information about its reliability is hard to come by, although I have been told it has a severe problem with leaks. Later in the 1990s, a second production run occurred while Lotus was owned by Bugatti, and Kia produced a copy as well.
