2003 Lamborghini Murcielago
Body style(s): 2-door coupe
Trim Levels: base
MSRP range: $273,000
Notes: Unchanged for 2003, the Murcielago entered its second season
on the American market. Incrediby powerful, it was one of the most
expensive cars in America (only Bentleys and the Ferrari Enzo cost more in 2003). Unlike its
closest competitors, Murcielago (say mercy-EL-ago) relied solely on a
traditional six-speed manual; no sequential gearbox was offered. At the
2003 Detroit auto show, Lamborghini revealed a Barchetta roadster concept,
which was being considered for production. Also during 2003, the
Murcielago's baby brother, the Gallardo, was revealed as a 2004 model.
