Notes:
In its sophomore year on the US market, Jaguar moved to correct
some of the initial errors on the X-Type, especially in regard
to pricing. The POE for the 2.5 model was lowered slightly, while
additional content (including a CD player) was added to the
3.0 trim to justify the price premium. Moreover, many options
became available as stand-alones, reducing the need for buyers
to accept expensive packages to get desired features. However,
headlight washers were no longer available. The X-Type's reliability
began to improve significantly, especially in initial quality, in 2003.
