1994 Chevrolet Impala SS
Body style(s): 4-door sedan
Trim Levels: base
MSRP range: $21,920
Notes: The Impala SS entered the Chevrolet Caprice family for 1994,
the first use of the nameplate since 1985 (and the first Impala SS since
the 1960s). The Impala SS was a performance
derivative of Chevrolet's B-body full-size sedan. The vehicle was equipped
with 4-wheel vented disc brakes, a performance/handling suspension with
a higher axle ratio and limited-slip differential, quicker-ratio power
steering,
and larger wheels. Visually, the Impala SS was distinguished by its
black exterior (no other colors were available for 1994), IMPALA SS logo
on the rear quarter panels, the Impala logo on a rear quarter-window
inset, and a unique grille. Dual exhausts were provided.
