Notes: The big news of 1994 was the introduction of the sport sedan
derivative of the Caprice, the Chevrolet Impala SS, which replaced the LTZ
model. Also, the 5.0L V8 was jettisoned for a newer 4.3L model, which matched
power with better performance. A passenger-side airbag was also provided
for the Caprice, and for its Impala twin. The 5.7L engine, used in
wagons and optional in sedans, was a new model, with greater performance
and sequential fuel injection, just like the smaller 4.3L.
