2002 Cadillac Seville
Body style(s):
4-door sedan

Trim Levels: SLS, STS
MSRP range: $43,524-$49,080

Notes: Magnetic Resonance suspension replaced CVRSS on the STS during 2002. Also provided: XM satellite radio, a pay-per-month service that allowed customers a much wider range of channels. The Seville was now five years old, and had not been restyled at any point during that time. Although its rear-drive successor, the STS, had been predicted for 2003, the model did not debut until 2004, as a 2005 model. The Seville, therefore, was left to persevere in the face of ever-stiffening competition. The more sophisticated traction/antiskid systems, coupled with brake assist variants of ABS, made the front-drive platform essentially obsolete on performance luxury cars. With this handicap (although Seville had alwasy been able to perform exceptionally for a front-driver), Seville sales slipped through 2002.
