1996 BMW Z3
Body style(s): 2-door roadster

Trim Levels: Z3 1.9
MSRP range: $28750

Notes: A radical addition to BMW's lineup, the Z3 roadster was a return to the old concept of a front-engine, rear-drive, 2-seat open-top sports car. The Z3 was largely based on the 3-Series models, especially the 318ti hatchback coupe, with its compact exterior dimensions and rear suspension. The BMW model preceded its primary competition, the Mercedes-Benz SLK and Porsche Boxster, by a model year. The Z3 was the first BMW vehicle built entirely in the United States.
