Acura TSX Overview
The Acura TSX arrived in the company's U.S. lineup to serve as something
of a replacement for the old Integra sedan, much as the RSX replaced
the coupe. Designed to provide a sportier feel than its TL stablemate,
the TSX was derived from the European/JDM (Japanese domestic market)
Honda Accord, tuned for sharper handling and given additional feature
content. After the RSX was discontinued in 2006, the TSX became the
bottom rung of Acura's lineup as the company tried to move up-market.
Sold initially only as a 4-door sedan with a rev-happy four-cylinder engine, a
second-generation model spawned additional variants.
